Vancity is a values-based financial co‑operative serving the needs of more than 519,000 member-owners with 59 branches in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Victoria, Squamish and Alert Bay. Total asset value: $19.8 billion (as of 2016).
In 2015 Vancity assembled a Future Proofing team to work on innovative digital projects. A first step was to lay the groundwork for future innovative products through prototyping digital solutions in a design, test and iterate approach.
We were required to develop a Rapid Prototyping methodology and optimize it to Vancity’s needs to increase efficiency and improve results; then to actually prototype digital solutions to address the needs of personal and business members.

To lead the UX design process for the team following User-Centred Design methodology and to recommend best tactics depending on the goals and available resources. Also, to coach and educate junior designers so they could learn the methodology and tools, and adopt the mindset.
