User experience (UX) – is how a person feels when using your product, it’s not only about User Interface and graphics. Some of the main things that contribute to the good (or bad) user experience are:

These are the example of the points that a designer can control. However, it’s not that simple, as there are lots of subjective user’s factors, that you can’t influence, such as user lifestyle, habits, use cases, goals, etc. The challenge is about understanding these factors and design the product taking those into consideration.

There is a great website where Erik Flowers lists out the differences between User Experience and User Interface (see the image below). I was going to do something like that myself, but then saw this list covering too much pretty much everything.
